1) OSTEOPATHY & SPORTS THERAPY
I have combined these two qualifications as there is lots of crossover, but importantly the two are together, as I can help treat both normal conditions/injuries and sporting conditions/injuries.

Osteopathy: Is a type of manual therapy that implements a range of non-invasive techniques to provide pain relief and rehabilitation. The aim is to improve the mobility of your joints, relieve tension in the bodies tissues in order to improve the function, reduce pain and create the conditions to enable the body to heal more effectively.
Osteopaths are highly trained, requiring a four or five-year degree, and are experts in the musculoskeletal (MSK) system. We are allied healthcare professionals alongside Physiotherapists and Chiropractors.

Sports Therapy: Utilises the principles of sport science, using techniques, such as sports massage, STR’s, MET’s, joint mobilisations, ultrasound and exercise prescription to help fix and fully rehabilitate sports related injuries. As well as helping you to recover from injury, a sports therapist will also use their skills to optimise your performance and support you in your sporting/exercise endeavors.

2) SPORTS MASSAGE
I still offer sports massage for runners, cyclists, triathletes etc, helping with lower body issues and lower backs helping loosen off tight quads, calfs, hip flexors, sorting out sore hamstrings etc.

Sports Massage & Soft Tissue Therapy for Minor Muscular Aches & Pains: is a form of massage that involves the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. The application of sports massage, prior to or after exercise or competition, can enhance performance, aid recovery and reduce and prevent injury.
Who Is It For? Common clients who chose sports massage are runners, cyclists, gym goers, sports people looking to improve performance before an event, boost recovery, reduce DOMs and aches and pains and prevent injury.

3) PILATES & YOGA
Pilates - Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar in some ways to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility, there is also a focus on the mind-body connection, whilst doing the exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way the body moves.

I have been teaching Pilates for over ten years now and have found it to be the perfect accompaniment for sports, injury prevention and rehabilitation with just one or two Pilates classes a week I have seen people completely change the way they move and hold their body and have seen people recover from some serious injuries such as chronic back pain.

Yoga - Yoga is a Hindu spiritual and aesthetic discipline, a part of which, including breathe control, simple meditation and the adoption of specific bodily postures, it is widely practised for health and relaxation.

I have been teaching Yoga for over eight years now and have found it to be another great accompaniment for sports especially in terms of flexibility although some care should be taken if you are suffering from any pre-existing conditions such as chronic back pain. It also is tremendous for helping with your mental state which is important for pretty much everyone.
